Anaerobic

Anaerobic adhesives remain liquid until isolated from oxygen in the presence of metal ions, such as copper or iron. When an anaerobic adhesive is sealed between a nut and a bolt on a threaded assembly, it rapidly "cures" or hardens to form a tough cross-linked plastic that will bond quite well to many metals. Anaerobic applications differ widely with each applications requiring high shear strengths and resistance to temperatures as high as 230°C (445°F).

Anti-Seize

Our state of the art ant- seize products are custom engineered to protect equipment and parts in your assembly applications including gears, studs, bolts, pulleys, chains and lifts from rust, corrosion, galling and other unwanted reactions. Our anti seize compound products also prevent galvanic pitting, friction, water wash out and cold welding in high heat, high pressure, and chemical environments.

iBond Structural Adhesives

The chemistry of epoxies and the range of commercially available variations allows cure polymers to be produced with a very broad range of properties. In general, epoxies are known for their excellent adhesion, chemical and heat resistance, good-to-excellent mechanical properties and very good electrical insulating properties.

Cyanoacrylates

Cyanoacrylates, Ethyl-2-Cyanoacrylate, super glue, or instant adhesive has been around for a long time. What’s changed over the decades, is our ability to make it more water, heat, and shock resistant. We can speed up its cure, or slow it down, to work within the metrics of a high speed assembly process. Adhesive R&D’s high purity ethyl cyanoacrylate can be blended with other cyanoacrylates such as butyl or methyl, creating hybrids designed to bring dissimilar substrates together, or reduce chlorosis. All of our cyanoacrylates are available in multiple viscosities, allowing a perfect match for surface wetting.

Threadlockers

Anaerobic threadlockers are an excellent option for sealing threaded parts, and assemblies. The thermoset plastic formed-in-place seal, is bonded to the substrates and cross-linked throughout, providing a robust sealant capable of withstanding pressure, vibration, and chemical attack. Because these materials are 100%reactive, there is little shrinkage ensuring that the inner space is filled, and so are available leak paths. By filling the inner space a plastic shim firmly bonded to the available surfaces, anaerobic adhesives and sealant protect the substrate surfaces from corrosion from outside contaminates, as well as galvanic corrosion.

iPipe Pipe Sealants

High lubricity, engineered breaks, deliverable cure speeds, and a variety of viscosities, textures and colors, pipe sealants are everything you want, packaged the way you want it. Whatever your application, our standard platforms can be tuned and textured to meet application, assembly, production cure speed, and gap filling requirements.

Retaining Compounds

Adhesive R&D offers a full line of Mil-Spec anaerobic retaining compounds. We also offer our DeadBolt products, which are stronger, and faster curing, than competitive products. For the toughest environments, Adhesive R&D breaks out the CrossFlex and offers toughened RubberMAX formulations, which far out perform the older brittle legacy chemistries of the 1970’s. For permanent applications, in the toughest environments, Adhesive R&D has Designed For Manufacturability solutions.

Gasketing

The best way to gasket two surfaces, is to machine them to a glass like surface. Since that isn't an economically viable solution, the second best option is a formed-in-place anaerobic adhesive. The 100% reactive chemistries leave no leak path, as they are thermoset plastics bonded to the surfaces. Adhesive R&D in an effort to provide market driven solutions to a variety of performance inadequacies invented CrossFlex™, our Patent Pending Advanced Material. CrossFlex replaces the urethanes found in legacy materials, and removes the rheology, stability, cure speed issues, replacing them with unmatched performance. Combining the strength of our polymeric backbone, with the flexibility of rubber, Adhesive R&D’s development team created a series of hybrid gasket makers that provide a new level of performance and reliability.

Black Widow

Adhesive R&D used premium high purity ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate, and blended it with a rubber toughening polymer to create our Black Widow high performance cyanoacrylate. Black Widow is fortified to resist vibration and shock. Its thixotropic viscosity keeps it in place, while still providing excellent surface wetting properties. A slightly slower cure package allows extra time for the perfect alignment of parts.

Surface Insensitive

Some surfaces are harder to bond than others. Chances are that 95% of your product is made out of those surfaces, and you don't need to bond anything to the other 5%. That's where Adhesive R&D's SI line-up goes to work. Normal cyanoacrylates cure in a neutral PH environment. Some surfaces, like certain types of wood, are acidic or base in nature, and will prevent a regular cyanoacrylate from curing. Not so with the super-charged SI products.

Methyl

The two carbon methyl cyanoacrylate molecule is better suited to bonding metal than the single carbon ethyl molecule. We take the same care with our methyl line as we do with our ethyl cyanoacrylates so that we can provide you with fresh high purity adhesives that deliver the performance necessary to compete in a global market.

Rubber Toughened

Adhesive R&D's RT line of cyanoacrylates represents the latest generation of flexible, vibration resistant instant bonders, further expanding the market place where these products can be used. Rubber fortified formulations resist vibration and shock, producing far more robust bonds than those produced by regular cyanoacrylates.

Black Toughened

Rubber toughened. Fortified. For extreme applications. Black rubber toughened products are designed to withstand shock and vibration. Not everyone's product is designed to sit on a coffee table.

Low Odor

Sometimes the most important characteristic of a bond is that it is invisible. Adhesive R&D's Low Odor line of cyanoacrylates eliminates bloom or frosting on parts and has virtually no odor.

High Temp

Adhesive R&D's HT line of products are designed to resist temperatures that would break down normal cyanoacrylates. And while these products won't work on the sun, they will get you off the coffee table.
